How Hotel Decoded reviews and recommends hotels:

1. Multi-source verification

Every hotel covered on Hotel Decoded is verified against:

  • The property’s official 2026 information (rates, room sizes, amenities)
  • Recent guest reviews from at least two third-party booking platforms (within 6 months)
  • At least one in-depth Korean YouTube hotel review
  • Industry coverage from architecture, hospitality, and travel publications when relevant

2. No pay-to-play

We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage. Hotels mentioned in “Best of” lists are selected on merit. Affiliate commissions never influence which hotels we recommend.

3. Sponsored content labeling

Any post sponsored by a property or brand is clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top, separate from our editorial reviews. Sponsored articles never appear in “Best of” lists or comparison guides.

4. Affiliate links

Outbound booking links may earn us a commission. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.

5. Accuracy and updates

Hotel pricing, amenities, and policies change frequently. We update articles when we become aware of changes; readers should always verify directly with the property before booking.

6. Korean YouTube credit

When our coverage draws on insights from a Korean YouTube hotel reviewer, we credit the channel name and embed the original video. Korean creators with permission concerns can reach us at editorial@hoteldecoded.com — we respond within 48 hours.

7. Corrections

Spotted an error or outdated information? Email editorial@hoteldecoded.com. We update the article and add a “Corrected on [date]” note where appropriate.
